Wellplast® PPC – Plastic Plastic Concept wins “Packaging innovation award”

At the Empack Exhibition in Kista on 15-16 October 2014, Wellplast AB presented its pallet concept for the first time for a wider customer base. The visitors showed great interest in the concept and, in addition, won the prize. “Packaging Innovation Award is awarded to the premier innovation in packaging area during the year. We at Wellplast AB are very happy and proud of this award.

 

 

 

 

Motivation from the jury:

Wellplast has developed a new, unique pallet concept consisting of plastic pallets, collars or sleeves, in close cooperation with leading recycling users. In the foreground there has been improved ergonomics when loading and unloading the pallets, improved protection against rain and dirt, a system that fits as well too heavy as lightweight, high stacking strength and long service life.

An example of innovation in the system is that the pallet collars can be folded together without being split after the pallet has been emptied. Another is that sleevens load openings have no moving parts, which ensures a long service life. The pallet bottom is completely smooth, which simplifies loading as well as cleaning. The benefits of the pallet concept have been confirmed by the first users.
