Wellplast appoints new CEO and takes the next step in its international expansion

Wellplast, a leading player in the development and production of innovative, sustainable packaging solutions, today announces that Helena Helgesson has taken on the role of new CEO. At the same time, the company is initiating an exciting expansion into North America, led by the former CEO, Jonas Friberg.

 

Helena Helgesson, with over a decade at Wellplast, brings a deep understanding of the company and the industry. She has successfully held various roles such as Deputy CEO, CFO, and HR Manager. “I look forward to continuing Wellplast’s successful journey and leading the company towards our goals and vision,” says Helena Helgesson, CEO of Wellplast.

 

Jonas Friberg, who has been one of the driving forces behind Wellplast’s successful growth, will now focus on establishing Wellplast Inc. in the North American market. “The US represents a great opportunity for us, and I am convinced that our innovative packaging solutions will be welcomed by customers there,” says Jonas Friberg, general manager at Wellplast Inc.

 

Wellplast AB is a growth company with big ambitions that in 2023 had a turnover of 204 million and has 80 employees at the factory in Åstorp.
